Air Training Corps

I attend 331 (Chesterfield) Sqn of the Air Training Corps. I have attended for 4 years and I am currently at the rank of Corporal. During my time here I have attended many sporting events representing the Sqn. My achievements include passing the classification of Master Air Cadet, passing a method of instruction course, passing a St John Ambulance Youth First Aider award, achieving Sqn Marksman award, Completing Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award, completing a Community Sports Leaders Award (CSLA), completing a BTEC First Diploma in Public Services and completing a BTEC Certificate in Aviation. I have also visited a range of RAF bases such as RAF Waddington and RAF Leuchars. I have also been powered flying 7 times in a Grob Tutor and Gliding once. During my 4 years I have shot the No.8 .22 rifle and the L98 A2 rifle. At cadets we are also encouraged to take part in voluntary work. I have done volunteering for British Legion, Wings Appeal, bag packing to raise money for the squadron and much more.
